Josh Abbott
Josh Abbott, 89, of Arlington, formerly of Paris, died Wednesday, May 9, at the All Seasons Nursing Home there.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Taylortown. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Abbott was born Dec. 22, 1900, in Bosque County, Texas, a son of Benjamin Douglas and Emma Jane Bostick Abbott. He married Kate Gordon on Oct. 2, 1929, in Hugo, Okla. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Perry Abbott of Arlington; one daughter, Gwendolyn Steinbock of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren, Sherry Walker of Arlington and Steven Steinbock of Portland and one great-grandson, Rristafer Walker of Arlington.
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Taylor, 1880 Graham St.
