Furneral services for Mrs. Delia Grace Akers, 64, of Dublin, who died Sunday at Radford hospital were held today at 2:30 p.m. from Dublin Methodist Church. The Rev. Dean M. Neese officiated at the services. Interment followed in Newbern cemetery. She is survived by her husband, John Dillard Akers; five sons, Massie Akers, Marion; Archie, Orville, Mack and Jimmy Akers, Dublin; and five daughters, Mrs. Madeline Cowley and Mrs. Ruby Davis, Pearisburg; Miss Kate Akers and Mrs. Bertha Hancock, Marion; and Mrs. Inez Turpin, Dublin. Also, two brothers, Glenn Roope, Radford; Harry Roope, Christiansburg; four half-brothers, Edward, Willie and Raymond Roope, Radford; and John Roope, Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Wimmer, Big Four, WV; and Mrs. Minnie Harrell, Poplar Hill, and 18 grandchildren. Also, three half-sisters, Mrs. Nellie Hill and Mrs. Eloise Hill, Pulaski, and Mrs. Cecil Simpkins, Dublin.
