Mr. Adams was born on September 23, 1923 in Wyaconda, Missouri the son of Ira and Beulah Grinstead Adams. He married Carlene Richardson on November 12, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa. She survives.
Mr. Adams worked for Memphis Pepsi Bottling Company for 40 years and served as Vice President and managed the Keokuk Pepsi branch when he retired. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a past member of the Lions, Jaycees, and was active in the Puckeshetuck District Boys Scouts of America. He was a member of the Iowa and Missouri Bottlers Associations.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene Adams of Keokuk; three sons, Donald W. Adams and his wife, Debbie, of Keokuk, Jon D. Adams and his wife, Debby, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and David L. Adams and his wife, Sandy, of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Twila Fulk of Memphis, Missouri; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services were Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at DeJong's Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Fulk officiating. Burial followed at Hickory Grove Cemetery north of Keokuk.
