"War Veteran Passes Away"
"John L. Sheneman, 77 years old, of Route 1, Cheboygan died Tuesday at Burgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born October 29, 1888, in Cheboygan County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sheneman.
He is survived by his wife Bernadine, one daughter Mrs. Mary Reynolds of Garden City, and two sons Thomas R. of Kalamazoo and John E. of Dearborn Heights.
The body will be brought to the N. J. Christian Funeral Home, and friends may call there after 8:00 tonight.
Mr. Sheneman was a veteran of World War I. He is a member of the Cheboygan DAV Chapter and a Veterans of World War I.
Veterans of all wars are invited to meet at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Thursday to pay their respects.
Mr. Sheneman was a member of the Holy Name Society of Indian River Catholic Shrine and of the Cheboygan County Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be held at the Indian River Shrine Friday at 10 a.m. with burial at the Cross Settlement Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at the N.J. Christian Funeral Home Thursday night at 7:30 (Cheboygan Daily Tribune)."

He is descended from Revolutionary War Patriots: John Nicholas Faust (PA), Joseph Inman,SR (MA), Benjamin Inman (MA), Reuben Keazer (NH).
