John M. "Buzz" Buchanan
A resident of Albuquerque, NM, since 1971, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Reared in Tacoma, WA, Sutherlin, OR, and White Sulphur Springs, MT, he was with his father in the lumber business a number of years. He belonged to Sombra Del Monte Christian Church in Albuquerque, NM, taking an active part, being on the Board of Deacons a number of years. Buzz was interested in environmental causes and helped many throughout his life, among them Greenpeace, International Fund for Animal Welfare, National Wildlife Federation and World Wildlife Fund.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at Sombra Del Monte Christian Church, 2528 Utah NE, Albuquerque, NM; with Pastor G. Duncan Miller officiating. Interment will take place in Old Tacoma Cemetery, Tacoma. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
