Nancy Glenn Gardner Aaron, of Christiansburg, Va., died at her home May 7, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born in Danville on March 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Nancy Glenn Marshall Gardner and Daniel Berry Gardner. Mrs. Aaron was married to the late Theo Harris Aaron, who died December 30, 1987. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Danville and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. For many years Mrs. Aaron volunteered at Danville Regional Medical Center-making booties, and sweaters for new babies. She was a graduate of Averett College and The University of Tennessee. Mrs. Aaron is survived by her children, Nancy Aaron Baker and husband, Gordon, of Murphy, N.C., Virginia (Ginny) Aaron Marshall and husband, Steve, of Blacksburg, Col. (R) Daniel Gardner Aaron and wife, Franceska, of Pinehurst, N.C.; grandchildren, Danielle Hylton, Aaron Marshall, Jennifer Marshall, Ashley Taylor, Logan Turner; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Highland Burial Park, with the Reverend Lynne Alley-Grant officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Fieldstone United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, Va. with the Reverend T. Bryson Smith and the Reverend Lynne Alley-Grant officiating.
