Services for Mrs. Ruby M. Switzer, 80, of Washburn, Missouri were 2 p.m. Monday at Mallett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Perry Hickman officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
She was born February 25, 1905 in Pindall, Arkansas and died Friday, May 31, 1985, in St. John Regional Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was a former longtime resident of Wagoner and Cherokee Counties.
Mrs. Switzer was a homemaker. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Exeter, Missouri. Her husband, Columbus and two daughters, Alta Lee Switzer and Lola Rosenthal, died earlier.
Survivors include her son, Dwaine, of Washburn, Missouri; a daughter, Louise Hathcock of Coweta; five brothers, Chester Maxville of Tulsa, Dreat Younger and Cleat Younger, both of Joplin, Missouri, Reat Younger of Beaver, Arkansas and Jerry Younger of Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Anna Lee Morgan of Gore, Mamie Smith of Hulbert and Mary Caffey of Wagoner; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
