Max A. Ostrowski
Max A. Ostrowski, 88, 1112 S. 13th Ave., Wausau, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Hospice House, Wausau.
He was born July 5, 1916, in Rosholt, son of the late Theodore and Christine (Pauluszkiewicz) Ostrowski. On Oct. 15, 1938, he married Alice Cherek in Bevent. She preceded him in death May 22, 2004.
Prior to his retirement, Max was employed as warehouse manager with F.A.Rondeau.
Survivors include his children, LeRoy (Kay) Ostrowski, Prescott, Ariz., Marcia (Jeff Holzem) Pospychalla, Indianapolis, Rosemary (Denis) Stencil, Schofield, Jean (Roger) Sydow, Wausau, and Joan (Herb) Grubbs, Tomahawk; two granddaughters, Dawn (Paul) Kessler, Minneapolis, and Becky Pospychalla, Indianapolis; a grandson, Brad Pospychalla, Dallas; and two great-grandsons, Jack and Paul Kessler. Besides his wife and parents, Max was preceded in death by his brothers, Felix, David, Joseph, Ben, Leo and Frank; and sisters, Theresa Glenetski, Stella Mullen, Doris Woyak, Laura Richards and Frances Nowaczyk.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
