Emmett Ira Pate was called into his Father's loving Arms, May 3, 2009 at the Odyssey House in OKC. Emmett was born February 10, 1927 to Walter K. & Anna Irene (Carmer) Pate in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and a very talented musician. Emmett married the love of his life, Edna, on May 20, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister, Sarah three brothers, Chester, Galen & O Ray a son-in-law, Johnny W. Brown and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Edna of the home two daughters, Linda Brown of McLoud, OK, Nancy Charlton & son-in-law, Conn of Minco, OK two sisters, Evalina Rash and twin sister, Emma Eckert 10 grandchildren 14 great grand- children 9 great great grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Bill Merritt Chapel with Pastor Eric Stock officiating. Interment will follow at Hazel Dell Cemetery, Minco, OK.
