Pamla Gale Sams, 47, of Kerby Knob, KY departed this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at her residence. She was born on October 7, 1961 to the proud parents of Aaron & Anna (Williams) Hobbs.

In addition to her parents, Pamla is also survived by her loving husband, Lonny Sams; by two children-Rebekah Adkins and husband Robbie of Annville and Michael Saylor of Kerby Knob; by two step-children-Rachel Lawson of Corbin and Ryan Sams and wife Angie of Williamsburg. She is also survived by a brother- Keith Hobbs of McKee and by three sisters-Susan Willey and husband Ron, Lesa Powell and husband Gary and Kim Muncy all of McKee. Pamla was blessed with three grand-children- Mackenzie Lawson, Brenton Willoughby and Dillion Tyler Lee Adkins and by an abundance of loved ones and friends.

Pamla was preceded in death by a brother- Ernie David Hobbs.

Pamla was employee of the State of Kentucky in the Administrative Office of the Courts. She was a member of the Kerby Knob Baptist Church, a Hospice Volunteer and she helped with the Cancer Society.


Funeral service was held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Maupin and Bro. Bruce Kirby officiating. Burial followed in the Kerby Knob Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Hobbs, Ryan Sams, Ronald Willey, Ron Gabbard, Marvin Harrison & Russell Willey. Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Goforth, Starlin Hacker, Robbie Adkins, Ron Willey, Gary Powell, Ronnie Johnson & Tim Fee Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.
