Age 75, died May 15, 1998. Mr. Heinz was born February 4, 1923, in Vevay Township. He was employed at Diamond Reo as an Electrician on the truck assembly line until the plant closed. After a successful by-pass surgery in 1978, he enjoyed a full and active life. His acquired knowledge of automobiles and their workings made his advice well sought. Mr Heinz was preceded in death by his parents, Amiel and Lora (Carmer) Heinz; sisters, Freida Harris and Elsie Burnham; and daughter-in-law, Patricia D.(Moore) Heinz. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Blanche Louise (Schultz); four children, Lois (Tom) Showers and Donald Heinz, both of Holt, and Karen (John) Briggs and Gordon Heinz, both of Dansville; 6 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; and many friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason. Interment will follow in Hawley Cemetery, Mason. Friends may call at the Chapel beginning Sunday, 6 p.m. where the family will receive friends Sunday and Monday from 6-8 p.m.
