Mrs. Sarah Oxley Davis,73 died yesterday at St. Marys hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday.
She was born in Missouri on Jan. 15, 1880 a daughter of Andrew and Eva Johnston. She was first married to Robert Oxley in 1900. He died in 1932 and she then married Charles Davis in 1940 and he died in 1948.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Lola Cotner,Mrs. Sena McGinnis,Mrs. Marie Armstrong and Mrs. Merna Patheal all of Decatur,sons, John Oxley,Sand Point Idaho and Jack, of Tacoma,Wash,brothers, Leo and James Johnston, Warensbrug,sister Mrs. Clara Koons,Warrensburg,26 grandchildre,15 great grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Friday at Morans with burial in the Illini cemetery, Warrensburg.
