Indian Scout and author of "Cow by the Tail." With Pink Burnett composed the song "Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie." He moved with his family to Texas in 1872 when he was eight years old. He arrived in Arizona in 1879, settling first in Holbrook and Winslow before moving to ranches in Pearce and San Simon valley. He spent his last 30 years in Tucson.
