David was the third child born to Alexander Wallace Vassar and Ruth Marie Sigsworth. He was born in Everett, WA. He graduated from high school in 1966. After leaving school, he always had a job in the construction business. David and his sister Penny were very close while growing up. There was a brother Prosper who died at birth 1947, and two other brothers born after David; Michael, who predeceased him 1995 and Steven who resides in Rainer, WA with his family. He married Sharyl Moore and they had a daughter; Mashell Louise Vassar born in Jan 1971 in Tacoma, WA. He and Sharyl divorced in the late 70's.
David was a hard working man, built beautiful homes and also built beautiful furniture "just for fun", is what he would say. He was a great cook, loved to BBQ, had a great sense of humor, always had a large dog for companionship, loved nature, camping, photography and being with his friends. He will be missed by many.
