He was the son of R. B. Darst and Ellie Sisson Darst. He attended school at Forrest Hill and high school at Tushka. Cliff married Jewell Atteberry on Oct. 16, 1955 at Hobbs, NM. He was a carpenter, builder and cabinet maker. He taught carpentry and masonry at Stringtown Correctional Facility. He was a member of the Atoka First Baptist Church and a member of Atoka Jaycees. He helped build the Atoka baseball field. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, hunting and visiting with his friends at the coffee shop or anywhere else he could get anyone to listen to him. He is survived by his wife, Jewell; children, Glenda Carnefix and husband Steve, Vonda Miller, Michael Darst and wife Becky, Walter R.B. "Skipper" Darst and wife Gail, Trelia Heise and husband Michael, Clifford Jr. "Sam" and wife Linda, Robert "Doc" and wife Kelly; a brother, Bob Darst and wife Pat; a sister, Sue Tate and husband Pete; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Haskell Darst and a sister, Della Lee. Services will be Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 4 pm at Brown's Funeral Chapel with interment at Green Meadows Cemetery.
