BRANCH, NELLIE NAOMI - age 93 of Knoxville said goodbye to this world on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospice. Member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Carl Branch; parents, Noah and Lucy Oglesby; sisters, Mae Arms, Alma Dibble, Florence Wilson, and Iva Branch; brothers, Rev. Alvin Oglesby, and Millard (Bud) Oglesby. Survived by sons, Edward and Wayne Branch, and a special son, Jim Branch; daughter, Cassie Smith and her husband George; a very dedicated and favorite niece, Shirley Vineyard Hardwick; grandchildren, Edward Smith and wife Carla, and Peggie Hunley and husband David; great grandchildren, James Hunley, Kaitlyn Hunley, Jake Smith, and Jamie Branch; special friend, Betty Emert. A special thanks to Fort Sanders Hospital 3rd floor and St. Mary's Hospice of Halls. Family and friends will meet 1:45 PM Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Union Cemetery on Union School Road for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Tim Wallace officiating.
