ROSLONIEC - Henry J. Rosloniec, age 82, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to his eternal rest on March 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by an infant son; his parents, Anthony and Rose Rosloniec; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Ann, Fabian and Philomena, and Dolores Rosloniec; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara VanEss, Christine and Edward Smigiel, and Edward Montgomery. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Frieda Mae; his daughters, Jacquelyn (Jules) Bush, Laurajean (David) Witt, Mary Kay Williams, all of Grand Rapids, Angela Rosloniec of Fort Wayne, IN, Rose Marie Walke of Grand Rapids, Catherine Ann Rosloniec of Stuart, FL, and Paula (William) Lewkowski, also of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Seth) Davis, Paul William Bush, Rachel (Matthew) Launiere, Emily Witt, Nicholas, Abigail, and Megan Lewkowski, and great-grandson, Kole Davis. He also leaves behind his brother, Florian, and sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Stanley Staskiewicz, Evelyn and Thomas Overholt, Ceil Montgomery, and Peter VanEss, as well as many nieces and nephews. Henry was a life-long devout Catholic and an avid hunter and fisherman. He honorably served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He retired from Consumers Power Company after 38 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 258 and the Sacred Heart Club - Kosciusko Hall. Visitation will be held at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive, NW, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Alphonsus Capital Campaign would be appreciated. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Spectrum Hospice and the wonderful staff of Whispering Woods for the love and care they gave Henry in his last days. Heritage Funeral Home
