Josephine Decker of Ellenville, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in Easton Hospital, Easton, Pa. She was 71.
The daughter of the late Fletcher and Lissie Stamey, she was born March 9, 1927, in Ellijay, Ga. She was the widow of Amil Decker.
Survivors include one son, Grayson Fortner of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; one stepson, William Decker of California; and one granddaughter, Barbara Fortner of East Stroudsburg, Pa. She was predeceased by one son, Franklin Fortner and one daughter, Harriett Ann Fisher.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Saturday, Jan. 23, at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 173 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home. The Rev. Wendell Hauber will officiate.
Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville.
