Eliza Jennings age 94 of Paint Lick Rd., passed away Thursday January 15, 2009 at the Terrace Nursing Home.Eliza was born in Garrard Co. to the late Menifee and Margaret Ann Clark McQuerry. She was a member of White Lick Baptist Church and retired postmaster for Berea College.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband James A. Jennings and four brothers and sisters.She is survived by her son Billy (Jane) Jennings of Lexington; two grandchildren Bill (Patti) Jennings and Wyatt (Lorraine) Jennings; four great grandchildren Amanda Hannon, Olivia Day, Krist Jennings and Wyatt C. Jennings; and 3 great-great grandchildren.Funeral services will be 11 am Monday January 19, 2009 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3-6 pm at the funeral home.Active pallbearers will be Earl McQuerry, Bobby McQuerry, Gordon McQuerry, Herlin McQuerry, Jerry McQuerry and Eddie Jennings. Honorary bearers will John Harrison, Johnny Todd, Bartley Bowman, Gary Cole, Tony Jennings, Tod Jennings, Mark Jennings and Roscoe Whittemore.
