WARSAW - Frank "Jimmy" Kalka, 84, of Warsaw, Indiana, formerly of South Bend, Indiana, departed this life on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at home with his loving family at his side. "Jimmy," as he was called by his family and friends, grew up in South Bend and was a retired mechanic. He married Irene Hutchison in July 1949. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2008. Jimmy was a WWII Army veteran. He was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters, and is survived by sisters, Regina Jedrzejewski and Marie Szulczyk of South Bend.
Jimmy loved his family and always put them first. He is survived by sons, Francis Kalka of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Matthew Kalka of South Bend and Craig (Julie) Kalka of Warsaw, Indiana; a daughter, Deborah Haney of Warsaw, Indiana; grandchildren, Andrew (Erin) Young of Warsaw, Jamie Scott of Pierceton, Indiana, Debra Scott of Stuart, Florida, Justin Kalka of Warsaw and Sara Kalka of Warsaw, Indiana; and one great-grandson, Cole Warren Young, who brought a smile to great dzia dzia's face daily.
