BLAKE, James Walker, 91, of Wetzel County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Mason Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. on Nauvoo Ridge. He was born July 11, 1869 in Wetzel County. He was the son of Joseph and Lydia Gorby Blake. He was married to Minnie Susan Emery on May 5, 1890. Surviving are eight children, Randall Roy of Glen Easton; Mrs. Alta May Emery of New Brighton, PA; Mrs. Hortence Chapman of Glen Easton; Joseph L. of Silver Hill, WV; Mrs. Clarence Mason Glen Easton; Mrs. Ethel Clark of New Brighton, PA; one son and one daughter deceased; 41 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Van of Cameron and Wiley in PA; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Burley of Cameron and Mrs. Doris Emery of Moundsville; half-brothers Rodney Blake and Earl Blake of New Martinsville; half-sisters Ester Blake of Beech Bottom, Josie Blake of New Martinsville and Gerald Blake of New Martinsville. He was a member of the Mormon Church. His body was removed to the Antill Funeral Home where friends will be received. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Big Run Church, Rev. Ister West officiating. Burial at Big Run Cemetery.
