Miss Dora Simmons of Munden, Kansas and Mr. Lloyd Adams of Narka, were united in marriage last Thursday, February 27, at the Probate Judges office by Rev. Ward of this city.

Lloyd Adams, a barber in Belleville for many years, passed away of a heart attack suddenly at his home on Monday, December 24. He was 65 years of age.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of the home, one son, Lloyd, jr., of Denver, Colo., three grandchildren many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services had not been completed at press time according to Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home in Belleville.

Lloyd D. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Adams was born June 19, 1897, near Munden, Kan., and passed from this life at the age of 65 years, six months and five days on December 24, 1962, at his home in Belleville.

He grew up in the Munden community attending the Rose Creek Center School north of Munden.

He was united in marriage to Dora O. Simmons on February 27, 1919. To this union one son, Lloyd Lafayette was born. Dora passed away in July 1937. On July 18, 1939, he was united in marriage to Ruby A. Hammond.

Lloyd spent about 40 years as a barber. He loved the out of doors and spent a lot of time fishing. He was a member of the United Brethren church (sic) of Munden also the Rose Creek Chapel. He was a member of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dora, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Ruby, of Belleville, one son, Lloyd L. and his wife, Alberta Florine and three grandchildren all of Denver, Colo., and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 28, 1962, at 2 p.m. at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel of Belleville, conducted by the Rev. Ernest Hiebert. Interment was made in Ida Cemetery.
