Christopher Francis Abbey, 33, of Naples, FL, left this mortal life on Friday, March 27, 2009. Chris was born December 8, 1975 in Metairie, LA. He earned a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University in Miami and worked as an executive chef before retiring due to illness.
Chris's courage and strength of character inspired all who knew him. His smile and his spirit will live forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Patricia Wacker; his father, Christopher Abbey; his step-father, David Wacker; his brother and sister, Timothy Abbey and Brittany Abbey; and his grandmother, Marianne Muschong.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Nicholas Muschong and Mary Jane Muschong; and his grandmother and grandfather, Frank and Bernadette Abbey. He will be forever missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 30th (tomorrow) at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly Ministries, 3805 The Lord's Way, Naples with burial in Palm Royale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's memory may be made to The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org).
