Nellie grew up on the south side of Chicago and raised 5 children. She was a fun loving person. She could light up a room with her laughter. Probably the most fun I had with her was when she'd get her hair done and it'd be all curly, I'd tease her about it until she'd want to strangle me.

I'll always remember how she loved to go to weddings just so she could dance. It was one the few joys she ever had.

As the last "keeper" of family history, we lost site of our past when she passed away. I'll never forget how, sometimes after Mass on Sunday she'd pack some sandwiches and cartons of juice and take Marge, Dan and me to Mount Olivet cemetery to visit our "Family". Maybe that's why I've found my way here.

She worked all her life until she was crippled by a stroke at the age of 66. She struggled for 7 more years until she was "Born Into Eternity".
