Douglas Eugene Skidmore, 60, Brookline Station, Mo., passed away unexpectedly April 7, 2009. He was born on June 4, 1948, to John and Barbara Roberta Skidmore, in Springfield, Mo., who preceded him in death. Doug owned and operated Skidmore Body Shop for many years.
In 1971, Doug was united in marriage with Nancy Pinegar. They recently celebrated 38 years together. Other survivors include two daughters, Stacye Wilson and Jennifer Skidmore and their partners, Shane Wilson and Dana Scott; two grandsons, Nazareth Wilson and Jaxon Skidmore; three brothers, John Wayne, Jeff and Mark Allen. Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all. He leaves behind many treasurered relatives and beloved friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday April 9, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will start at 11 a.m. Friday, April 10. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
