Nadine Gilliam died March 31st at the age of eighty-three. She was born June 30, 1925, to George Herbert and Elva Mae Warren. She spent her early years in the Cane Creek and Hilliard areas before her family settled on a farm off the Marble Hill Road when she was nine. Her grandson and his family live on the home place.

Nadine graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1942 and was a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff. After her family was grown, she enjoyed volunteer work at the Poplar Bluff Museum, Margaret Harwell Art Museum, and the First Baptist Church Christian Life Center.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister and two brothers, William and Austin Warren.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Millard, and two daughters, Carol Gilliam Green of Topeka, Kansas, and Sandra Lynn Nunley (Everett) of Poplar Bluff. She has two grandchildren, Wendy Meade (Darcy) of Warsaw, Indiana, and Jay Warren (Candace) of Poplar Bluff. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Brittany, and Sarah Elizabeth Meade as well as Jackson, Harrison and Lincoln Warren.

A private funeral and burial will be held in celebration of her life.
