BERNIE — Homer Lee Craft, 93, died April 7, 2009, at his home.
Born Sept. 23, 1915, at Townley, to the late Eddie and Emmor Pippins Craft, he was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bernie.
On Sept. 10, 1942, at Piggott, Ark., he married Ruth Horton and she survives of the home.
He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Homer Lee and JoAnn Craft II of Memphis, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by six brothers: Rube Craft, Guy "Bill" Craft, Virgil Craft, LeRoy Craft, Earl Craft and Tom Craft; and two sisters, Pansy Teeters and Pearl Walker.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Bill Garrett officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
