Jacob V. Pratt, a respected citizen of this community died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Hanline, on last Friday after a short illness of cancer of the stomach. Mr. Pratt was a thrifty hard working man and will be missed by a host of friends, besides his bereaved family. He lived all his life in this section. His remains were interred in the Newhouse graveyard on Saturday evening.
