Mary Edna Pierce
Mary Edna Pierce, 97, of Pheba and former longtime resident of Gloster, died Feb. 8, 2009, in Pheba.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, until graveside services there at 11 a.m. in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster. The Rev. Sammy Smith will officiate.
Ms. Pierce was born Oct. 28, 1911, in Amite County. She was the daughter of the late Charles Bentley Kellogg and the late Stella McNeely Kellogg.
She was the manager of TWL Store in Gloster for many years. She was a lifelong member of Galilee Baptist Church in Gloster.
Survivors include two nieces, Stella Yarbor of Vernon, Fla., and Mary Edna Corrigan of Florence, Ala.; one nephew, Lloyd C. Kellogg of West Point; and beloved friends, James and Maudie Dixon of Gloster.
