Betty Joan Ellis Bell, age 73, of Vandervoort, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009.
She was born October 18, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late James Herman and Alma Sue Myers Ellis. On March 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Hilton Leroy Bell, Sr. in Mena, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vandervoort, Arkansas. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother "Granny" and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Delbert Roy and James Eddye Ellis.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Vandervoort with Brother Gary Jewell, Brother Kevin Jewell, and Brother Leon Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery in Potter, Arkansas under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Clint Bell, Ryan Bell, Brent Bell, Jeff Williamson, Zackarus Fair, Isaiah Fair, Patrick McDaniel, Bo Hayes, Jacob Wagner, Matt Cozart, Alex Wade, Jon Trobaugh, and Rob Christopher.
During her youth she was blessed to have help and guidance from three loving grandparents: the late Ed and Susie Myers of Hatfield, and Claude "Pop" Ellis of Little Rock.
