Mrs. Decker, age 79, passed away Nov. 17, 1981. She was born in Coleman, Michigan and has lived in Lansing since 1932 coming from Chesaning. She was a very active member of the Pennway Church of God, member of the A.A.R.P. and a volunteer for CROP. Mrs. Decker was preceded in death by her husband, Josiah T. (Joe) and 2 sons, Wayne and Leon. Surviving are 7 children, Mrs. Charles (Lucille) Everett of Mason, Mrs. Edwin (Leona) Person of East Lansing, Leslie E. Decker of Williamston, Floyd R. Decker of Mason, Mrs. Luther (Iris) Bilbrey of Anderson, Indiana, Mrs. Frederick (Grace) Stoolmaker of Crystal, MI; Ronald J. Decker of Lansing; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Sarah Harshman of Lansing and many, many nieces and nephews. Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Sherrill D. Hayes, Rev. Earl L. VanSipe and Rev. Randall Bargerstock at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh Rd., with interment services at the Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning, a 4 p.m. Pallbearers will be Leon Everett, Lester Hewitt, Lee Decker, David Decker, Wayne Bilbrey, Alan Stoolmaker, Rick Miller and Donald Beam. Mrs. Decker will be at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel until 11:30 p.m. Fri. when she will be taken to the Church to lie in state from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

Helen was the third daughter of John Mortimer Teeter (1851-1920) and Helen Anna [May] (1862-1922). She married Josiah Turner Decker 9 September 1925. They had the following children:
