Helen L. Schoch, 82, Tyrone, died Thursday at Tyrone Hospital. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Joseph A. and Margaret Mary (Hagg) Schoch. Surviving are a sister, Mary Ann Godlasky and husband, Charles, of Pittsburgh; a brother, William I. Schoch and wife, Maxine, of Tyrone; a special friend, Rodney Babe of Tyrone; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John. She retired in 1981 from the A&P Food Store, Tyrone, after 32 years of service. She was previously employed at Lugg and Edmonds and Bayer and Gillam, Tyrone. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Rita. A funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Monday April 6, 2009, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone, with Father Joseph T. Orr celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone. Recitation of the rosary will be said Saturday at 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Matthew Church, 1105 Cameron Ave., Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
