The former Bonnie Baker was born July 11, 1932 to Fred Baker and Effie (Kerns) Baker at her aunt's house in Lee Township and grew up on Chippewa River Road in Homer Township. Bonnie graduated from Midland High School in 1950 and married Forest E. Blades on June 23, 1956.
Bonnie Blades worked at McCandless News Agency, Tower Finance Company and retired in 1997 from her position as secretary at the Floyd Church of God. Bonnie loved her family and enjoyed traveling and camping with them. Bonnie was always busy with some type of craft. She enjoyed music especially singing and playing her autoharp. She was a member of the Floyd Church of God and had served in many positions. Bonnie was a frequent visitor at Jimari's Restaurant.
Surviving Bonnie were her children JoAnn (Tony) Wilkie, Rose Marie (Roger) Davis, Forest A. (Kathy) Blades and Pam (Scott) Liechty, grandchildren Randy (Dawn) Wilkie, Gary Davis, David (Jada) Davis, Jeanne (Bill) Brushaber, Tracey (Tim) Naftzger, Jennifer (Marc) Fradenburg and Steven, Kristen, Lauren and Megan Liechty, and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving Bonnie were her care giver Connie Mull and special friends Linda Taylor, Kathy Hawkins, Donna Stark and Leona Sian.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Forest Blades, parents, sister Betty (Baker) Glynn, daughter Marcia Blades, and grandchildren Steven Davis and Katelyn and Marissa Liechty.
