Arnold B Carmany, 69, of Barberton, passed away Wednesday, May 3, at Barberton Citizens Hospital, following a short illness.
Born in Manchester, he was a life resident of the Manchester-Barberton area and was a retired 38-year employee of the BF Goodrich Co. He was a member of the St Paul's United Methodist Church in Barberton and National Lodge 568 F&AM in Barberton, an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of VFW Firestone Post 3383.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Mrs Pat Perry and Mrs Terrie Miller, both of Akron, Judy Carmany of Slidell, LA; sons, Richard of Canal Fulton, Albert of Las Vegas, NV; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; father Joseph Carmany of Manchester; brother, Dale Carmany of Manchester. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Carmany, in 1977.
Funeral services wil be Friday, 11am, at the Swigart Funeral Home in Canal Fulton, Rev Rodney Warstler officiating. Burial at Manchester Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight, 7-9. Masonic services will be conducted by National Lodge 568 at 7pm.
