George Long, Salesman, dies - of 525 E. Frederick Street, died at Lancaster General Hospital Sunday at 5:30 a.m. after an illness of seven months. He was employed as a shoe salesman for the Shaub Shoe Store as manager of the children's department and had been an employee for 49 years. The husband of Mary Hoffman Long, he was born in Lancaster, son of the late William D. D. and Blanche Leibley Long. He had lived in the city his entire life. Surviving are his wife; his stepmother, Mrs. Maggie Long, Carlisle; a brother, Dunn Long, Hagerstown, Maryland. Lancaster New Era of 17 Jan 1966.
