"Amie" was the owner of Wiser Furniture Company in El Paso. He was named after his dad, and was his parents' fourth son, and the sixth of nine children.

Amie had five children by his first wife, Lillian Irene (Pulliam) Wiser:

1. Son - Audavee W. "Auda" Wiser (1912-1933);
2. Dau. - Ortella Lenora Wiser (m. Joseph Ted Ruebush) (1915-1991);
3. Son - Osborne Elton Wiser (m. Margaret Alene Daugherty) (1918-1954);
4. Son - Emuel Limuel "Bud" Wiser (m. Ruth Erdyne Killebrew) (1926-1991); and
5. Son - Willard L. Wiser.
