Mrs. Dorothy H. Thomas, age 80, of Taylorville, formerly of Tovey, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday April 17, 2006 in Memorial Medical Center at Springfield. She was born October 25, 1925, in Kincaid, the daughter of Clyde LeRoy and Elizabeth Stacy Roller Cline. She married Charles W. Thomas on May 17, 1947, in Kincaid. He died December 12, 1980.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her son, Charles E. Thomas, Jr., of Tovey; daughters Mary Elizabeth Evans of Taylorville, Jeanetta (husband Jerry) Kohl of Morrisonville and Lezlie (husband Keith) Flanigan of Tovey; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; sister-in-law Gladys Baranzelli of Tovey and Christine (husband Walter) Carlson of Chatham; and companion Wilbur Anderson of Taylorville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother Kenneth L. Cline.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006 in Masterson Funeral Home at Kincaid. Rev. Howard E. Wise officiated and burial was in Bethany Cemetery at Edinburg.
Pallbearers were Matt Dawson, Sam Hughes, Brad Bolton, David Jostes, Derek Richards and Quinton Thomas.
Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday April 19, in the funeral home.
