Rev. Stripling was a Baptist minister for 54 years and preached until about a 1 1/2 years before his death. He served many churches in Georgia, Alabama and East Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

He was an associate missionary in Georgia, Alabama and Texas and was very active in Southern Baptist Convention work. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, when Dr. B. H. Carroll was president of Baylor.
