Jimmy Wallace "Monk" Alexander, 51, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, August 29, 2004 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.

A native of Lake Butler, he has been a resident of Palatka for over 40 years, coming from West Palm Beach. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and riding the "Rodman" circle. He owned and operated Jimmyz Stucco.


He is preceded in eternal rest by his mother: Ethel Harris; and brother: Joey Alexander.

To cherish his memories are his wife: Margie Alexander; father and stepmother: William "Sam" (Juanita) Alexander; sons: Craig Alexander (fianc�e, Mary Lowe), Toby Alexander; grandson: Blake Anderson; sisters: Janet (Hugo) Caudill, all of Palatka; Linda Carlin, Deltona; mother-in-law: Betty King of Palatka; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives and caring friends.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka with Elder Bill Herrington officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel.
