Richard Sheets of Frankfort, IN died on 10/5/2005 at 8:58 am , in Indiana University Medical Center .

He was born on 7/9/1953 in Frankfort the son of Russell Max Sheets and Norma (Avery) Sheets. Married Megan Davis on August 2, 1974 and she survives.

Mr. Sheets was a 1971 Graduate of Frankfort High School and attended Purdue University for 3 years. Mr. Sheets was a firefighter/EMT for the Frankfort Fire Department since August 1987 and he was Lieutenant at Station 2. He worked part time for Gill Construction since June of 1996, he had previously farmed with James L. Davis, and was shop foremen at the State Highway Department. Mr. Sheets was also Clinton County Deputy Coroner, working under Larry Fish and Ed Cripe. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was past trustee, a current deacon and current treasurer of the church. He was currently president of the Clinton County EMS Council.

Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, October 08, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom Jameson officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday.

Mr. Sheets will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort, IN. Memorials may be made to: First Presbyterian Church or Frankfort Fire Department with envelopes available at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Megan Sheets of Frankfort, IN;
his father, Russell Max Sheets of Rural Frankfort, IN;
one daughter,Mrs. Mark (Erin) Arthur of Indianapolis, IN;
one son, Russell Sheets of Frankfort, IN; and one brother: William (Wife Lara Beth) Sheets of COlorado; also, two step- Grandchildren, Ashley and Ammariah Arthur.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
