Bernice M Baum, 86, of Massillon died Tuesday, Jan 11, 2005 at her home. Bernice was born Dec 20, 1918 in Lawrence Twp, Stark County, Ohio to the late Thomas and Carrie (Cormany) Wolfe. She was a life resident of the area and married her late husband, Wade E Baum on Oct 8, 1938, who preceded her in death August 5, 2002.
They were active members of Newman Baptist Church where they visited the shut-ins of the church. They also spent many winters enjoying the warm weather in Florida.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wade Baum; grandchildren, David L Kemp, Deanna Marie Wolgamott, Heather (Baum) Mease; an infant sister; sister, Dora Adler; brother, Earl Wolfe.
She is survived by her children, Ada Jean (Vern) Wolgamott, Phyllis M Kemp, Thomas (Sharon) Baum, Wayne (Linda) Baum and Carl (Kathy) Baum; grandchildren, Coreen (Mack) Hardman, Donald (Tammy) Wolgamott, Shannon (Baum) Wagoner, Mark Baum, Eric (Ginger) Baum, Daniel (Kathy) Baum, Christina Baum and Jeremy Baum; great grandchildren, Amelia, Aaron, Amanda Hardman, Michael Wolgamott, Nicholas and Angel Kemp, Anthony and Andrew Mease, Zachary Wagoner, Emily, Eric and Adrian Baum; sister, Hazel Jenkins, Fostoria, OH.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E Cherry St (Route 93) Canal Fulton with Rev Dennis McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
Visitation at the funeral home Thursday 6-8pm and Friday one hour prior to time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron, OH 44333.
