Violet E Matter, 93, of Mount Eaton, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, Nov 14, 2008, at her home.
She was born May 1, 1915, near Manchester to Doyle N and Anna A (Carmany) Frase and married Robert D Matter on Dec 25, 1943. He died April 26, 1993.
She lived most of her life near Mount Eaton and was a member of the former St Paul United Church of Christ in Mount Eaton.
Surviving are children, Doyle (Pat) Matter of Mount Eaton, Harry (Pattie) Matter of New Philadelphia, Charles (Paulette) Matter of Shreve, Mary (Charles) Klett of Massillon and Dale Matter of Mount Eaton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Frase and a granddaughter, Angela Smith.
Services will be Monday, Nov 17, at 11am at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton with the Rev Dr Steve Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton.
Friends may call Sunday, Nov 16, from 2-4pm at the funeral home.
