Eddie in her book The Taylor Party mentions that due to Ed Bennett falling deeply in love with Permelia and writing her wonderful love letters, much of the history of the Bennett, Taylor, Day, Dowlearn families were preserved for today. The
letters are apparently still in family possession and treasured.
