Mrs. Louise Ferris Dies In Hospital After Long Illness
Mrs. Louise Cecelia Ferris, 87, of Clinton, died at 7:15 a.m. today in John Warner hospital after an extended illness. She was the grandmother of Miss Louise Hagen, Clinton school teacher, with whom she made her home 27 years.
She is at the Reeser-Herington funeral home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Kenneth C. Knox, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate, and burial will be in Long Point cemetery, near Wapella.
She was born February 17, 1964 at Cape Girardeau, Mo., a daughter of Adolphus and Catherine (Kimmell) Aschenbrenner. She was twice married. Her first husband was John Wise, and the second William L. Ferris. Both are deceased.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Downey of Lincoln and Mrs. Mary Drew of Atlanta; also one sister, Mrs. Kate Keltner of Hinckley, Minn.; 10, grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one step-daughter, Mrs. Jesse Neuerburg of Berkley, Calif.
