Mrs. Emma DeLong, widow of John DeLong, former president of the Reading Abbattoir Co, and a tanner for many years, died at her residence, 1262 Perkiomen Ave., yesterday following a lingering illness. She was 75 years
7 months 24 days old. Mrs. DeLong had been ailing for some time and several weeks became bedfast.
She was a born near Reading, the daughter of the last Amos and Amelia Dick. She received her early education in the public schools of the city and resided here for the greater part of her life. Her husband for many
years conducted a tannery at 13th and Muhlenberg sts., later being president of the Reading Abbattoir Co. Her son, Howard, now holds the position held by his father. Mrs. DeLong is survived by one daughter, Flora, this city, in addition to the son. Undertaker Henninger will have charge of the funeral arrangements.
