Giles and Martha married 12/25/1885 in Gentry County Missouri and all of their children were born there.
They purchased a farm from a Mr.McClellan and traveled by train on 2/22/1907. Mr. McClellan met them at the train depot in Sayre Oklahoma turning the team and wagon over to them which they had acquired in the sale and they traveled to their home in Dempsey Oklahoma.
Giles and Martha had six children losing one Dewitt at the age of six months. Giles and Martha made this homestead their home until Giles death April 18, 1937. Martha remained on the farm until 1940 then she moved to Reydon Oklahoma to live with her daughter Rebecca Dodsen
