She was a homemaker for a time, then began a career at United Air Lines until her retirement. Helen loved life, the mountains, big game hunting, friends, gardening, photography. She raised award winning Samoyed dogs, loved classical music, the arts, the theater, the dance, sewing, and still found time to volunteer as a Gray Lady at (the 0ld) Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.
She was a wonderful mother to her children, able to guide them to excel in their areas of interest. Helen was a woman who excelled at everything she was interested in. She came from a loving family and brought that love to her children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers, Clyde and John. She is survived by her husband, brother, James, 3 sister-in-laws, Wanita, Lela, and Genevieve, 2 children, Judith, Robert, and 3 grandchildren. Memorial services were held at Olinger's Mortuary, with the Order of the Eastern Star participating in the service.
