Even though, Lucille Alexander has a tombstone in Appleton City Cemetery with her birth and death recorded, she actually died in Napa, Napa County, California and her ashes are buried with her husband, Deruella E. Alexander, in the Tulocay Cemetery.

Karen Alexander shared why there was a tombstone for Lucille, husband and child in the Appleton City Cemetery: It seems Lucille thought she and her husband and child would be buried together in Appleton City Cemetery, so she had her brother J. D. White go to the cemetery and prepay for the plot and headstone engravings.
Then when D. E. died, Lucille kept his ashes in Napa. She thought someone would take them and hers (after she died) to Appleton City Cemetery. Years went by, and she decided it wasn't practical to do this arrangement, and changed her mind. She then arranged for D. E. and her to be put in the Tulocay Cemetery instead. Lucille's step-daughter, Sally, was told to inform the Appleton City Cemetery of Lucille's death, and she did. And because the services and plot were paid for, they updated the headstone.

Thank you for sharing Karen.
