After enlisting in the military on Oct. 24, 1942 from Tulsa Oklahoma, he was assigned to the Coast Artillery Corps, and later as a rifleman (mos 745) to Company A, 48th Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division.

He sacraficed his life near Overloon, (Holland) Netherlands.
