Prior to his death, Mikey had been the victim of severe abuse at the hands of his mother's boyfriend. Mikey had been beaten, burned and tortured.
Riverside Social Services had been informed, and the abuse investigated but enough was not done to help Mikey.
On August 28th, 2005 Micheal was taken to Riverside Community hospital by his mother and her boyfriend because he wasn't breathing.
He was then transferred to Lorna Linda University Medical Center. Micheal fought hard, but on August 29th, 2005 he flew to Heaven from massive internal injuries.
